Originally from Seattle, Wa., Sean Swearinger now lives near Ankara, Türkiye with his wife Hazal and their two sons. He first became interested in photography when he was a teenager, creating prints in the Edmonds Community College darkroom with his older sister, Sarah.  Although he primarily uses a digital camera now, he still loves and appreciates the aesthetics of film and the emotive power present in black and white images. The majority of his work focuses on the culture of Türkiye and the visual beauty inherent in its landscapes.
